DOT Urban Art invites individual artists or artist teams to submit proposals to create interactive, site responsive installations to complement the Summer Streets experience. Summer Streets celebrates New York City’s most valuable public spaces, its streets. On three consecutive Saturdays in August, seven miles of NYC’s streets will be opened for people to play, walk, cycle and run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Selected projects will be granted up to $5,000.
