  • Uptown Arts Stroll 2014 call for artists

    The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance announces a call for artists for the 11th annual Uptown Arts Stroll in Washington Heights–Inwood, from West 155th to 220th Street in June. The stroll showcases the painters, photographers, writers, musicians, sculptors, actors, dancers and filmmakers in Northern Manhattan.

  • Calling uptown artists! The Ephemeral Arts Project

    Display your work in one of NYC’s public parks! The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) and New York Restoration Project (NYRP) are accepting submissions for The Ephemeral Arts Project, a series of temporary art installations to be on display during June 2014. Submission deadline: 23 April 2014.

  • Call for Artists: Women in the Heights – Reflections on Creating

    In celebration of Women’s History Month (March), the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) invites artists to submit their work for Women in the Heights – Reflections on Creating, an exhibition featuring the work of women artists of Northern Manhattan. Deadline for submissions: Friday 31 January 2014, 5 p.m. EST.

  • Call for submissions: 2014 Uptown Arts Stroll poster contest

    NoMAA is pleased to announce the Uptown Arts Stroll 2014 — an annual arts festival featuring more than 170 arts and cultural events across Washington Heights and Inwood — and is calling for submissions of artwork for the poster contest. Deadline: extended to Friday 21 February 2014.

  • Call for Artists: Immigrant Too

    NoMAA announces its next exhibition, Immigrant Too, a follow-up to NoMAA’s previous show of 2010, titled Immigrant. Deadline for submissions: Monday 9 September 2013.

  • Call to artists: Ephemeral Arts Project

    The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) and the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) are accepting submissions for the Ephemeral Arts Project, a series of temporary art installations to be on display during June 2013 in Sherman Creek Park and Swindler’s Cove. Proposal submission deadline: 17 May 2013.

    NoMAA is pleased to announce the Uptown Arts Stroll 2013 — an annual arts festival featuring more than 100 arts and cultural events across Washington Heights and Inwood — and is calling for submissions of artwork for the poster contest. Deadline: Thursday 28 March 2013.

  • Call for artists: NoMAA/MoMA multidisciplinary art project

    The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA), in partnership with MoMA’s Community Program, would like to invite our artists to participate in the development of an exciting and unique multidisciplinary art project created by you and other fellow artists. The fruits of the project will be exhibited during the Uptown Arts Stroll this summer. Next meeting/workshop: 23 February 2013.La Alianza de Artes del Norte de Manhattan (NoMAA), en colaboración con el Programa Comunitario del Museo de Arte Moderno (MoMA), quisiera invitar a nuestros artistas a participar en el desarrollo de un proyecto artístico multidisciplinario creado por ustedes y otros colegas.
