Liz DeMayo – For several years I have been exploring Polaroid photography. After shooting the color photos I often physically manipulate them, adding lines and texture to create areas of fluidity and movement. Inspired by the near-by parks and woods in northern Manhattan, I shoot many of my Polaroids here, hoping to capture a sense of mystery and peace. Recently I have photographed in Ft. Tryon Park and worked with Polaroid’s black and white film. My photos are scanned and enlarged onto paper or canvas by Uptown Fine Art Printing Studio
