Imagine This: Reflections on Human Imagination

Join us for Exploring Minds, a three-day event series exploring cognitive differences. We’ll explore the unique ways that people imagine and perceive the world. Panel discussions, a jazz concert, Q&As, and more. In-person and hybrid events. With the generous support of the Campus Collaborative Fund for Students and Student Organizations and Wallach Art Gallery.

Wednesday, April 9 · 5pm EDT

5:00 PM Doors open.

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Explore your imagination with the Wallach Art Gallery.

Mental imagery is deeply personal, making it a challenge to study. In this interactive activity, we’ll explore how individuals visualize the same object—like a lemon—differently. With guidance from a local artist, participants will describe a lemon using words rather than visuals, translating those descriptions into a collaborative artwork. This process highlights the diverse ways our minds create imagery, regardless of artistic skill, and may culminate in a community mural.
