CENSUS 101 WORKSHOP – Make Manhattan Count

Want to learn more about the importance of the 2020 Census and/or producing a program to bring awareness?
Join us for a workshop on Census 101.

Led by Sarah Malaika, Partnership Specialist / New York Regional Office at U.S. Census Bureau
5030 Broadway @214 St – 6th Floor Conference Room

Free. SPACE IS LIMITED – RSVP through EVENTBRITE required.

The census is much more than just a head count. It provides a picture of our nation that helps determine where to build new schools, hospitals, and businesses; how federal funding is distributed; and how congressional seats are apportioned. It also helps us see how our communities have changed over time. That’s why an accurate count is so important.

New York City must achieve a complete count in the 2020 Census. We have a creative plan to boost participation and are proud to have been awarded a Make Manhattan Count grant by Gale A. Brewer, Manhattan Borough President to put it into action.

Look for NoMAA’s open call for promotional graphics and one minute videos to encourage census participation at www.nomaanyc.org
